Objective:
- This SOP covers the complete process of setting up and managing event websites, including platform selection, WordPress setup, design and development of key pages, form creation with validations, Google Sheets and email integration, responsive testing, and securing backups of all files and data.

Tools / Platforms Used:
- Contact Form 7 – For creating and managing forms.
- Google PageSpeed Insights – For speed and performance testing.
- 10Web Booster For performance optimization.
- UpdraftPlus – For website backups.
- Google Sheet to store user form data
- BrowserStack to check different devices and browsers.
Setup CMS & Layout Structure
- Finalize the domain or subdomain to host the website.
- Set up WordPress (or chosen CMS platform) on the selected domain/subdomain.
- Configure global elements: header, footer, and apply approved color themes / branding styles.
Design & Development
- Create the website layout and structure as per the design and content requirements.
- Develop event inner pages (e.g., Agenda, Speakers, Sponsors, Contact us).
- Upload and place all textual content, images, graphics, and media files.
- Optimize all media (especially images) for the web — reduce file size
- Add clear CTA sections linked to the forms (e.g., Register Now, Apply to Speak).
- Set up functional forms in Contact form 7/WP Forms (e.g., Registration, Become a Speaker).
- Integrate forms with Google Sheets to capture submissions.
- Configure form submissions to trigger automated email alerts to Neha and Surabhi.
- Form data will be capture email, backend, and google sheet
- Test form functionality — fill sample leads, validate fields (email, phone), check error handling.
Responsive Design Testing
- Test the website layout, navigation, and forms across multiple screen sizes (mobile, tablet, desktop).
- Use tools like BrowserStack or browser developer tools to check different devices and browsers.
Backup
- Take a full backup of the entire website — files, database, and media.
- Save the backup securely on both a local laptop and the hosting server.
