Prospecting and Lead Qualification
- Identify potential clients based on industry, relevance, and prior engagement with AdTech Today.
- Classify clients into categories:
- Magazine-Only
- Digital-Only
- Bundle Opportunity
Bundle Selling Strategy
- Offer bundled deals that combine:
- Print ad + Sponsored article
- Magazine cover story + Online feature
- Print + Digital banners + Event visibility
- Highlight value proposition:
- Multi-platform visibility
- Cost efficiency
- Extended shelf life of print + reach of digital
Pitching & Closure
- Share the Media Kit, latest rate card, and relevant case studies.
- During the pitch:
- Confirm the client’s preferred platform (print, digital, or both).
- Suggest relevant themes/issues or category placements.
- Close the deal and confirm:
- Type of content (Ad / Sponsored Article / Interview)
- Issue/Month for placement
- Platform(s) involved
Editorial & Creative Verification
- Once a deal is closed, check with Editorial Team:
- Availability of space for advertorials or feature placement.
- Alignment of sponsored content with editorial themes.
- Timeline for article submissions and design approvals.
- Get editorial sign-off for all content collabs before sharing final timelines with clients.
Special Issue Communication
- Notify relevant clients about upcoming:
- Special Editions (e.g., Women in AdTech, Year-End Review, Performance Marketing Focus)
- Themed Covers (Festive season, Tech Innovation, etc.)
- Offer priority placement or custom collaboration options in these editions.
Internal Coordination & Deliverables Tracking
- Share client commitments with Ops / Client Servicing Team including:
- Platform(s) of activation
- Content type (Ad, Interview, Article, etc.)
- Deadlines
- Creative specs
- Use a shared deliverables tracker to log:
- Date content was received
- Dates of scheduled release (print deadline, digital publish date)
- Status of execution
Quality Control & Final Checks
- Coordinate with Ops/Creative/Editorial to:
- Proofread and approve final ad placements or articles
- Ensure formatting, branding, and tone are aligned
- Verify digital assets (banners, links, SEO) function properly before going live or to print
Record Maintenance
- Maintain a centralized record (Google Sheet) with:
- Client name
- Campaign/issue
- Content format
- Status of each deliverable
- Live links / Magazine PDF references
Payment Follow-Up
- Send invoice immediately upon deal closure or as per client payment cycle.
- Track in a payment tracker:
- Invoice date
- Due date
- Payment received date
- Follow up for outstanding payments weekly or per agreed-upon terms.
